How the free trial works
The yearly plan starts with 7 days free. Everything is unlocked from the first day and nothing is charged. Apple sends a reminder before the trial ends. Cancel before day 7 in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions and you pay nothing. If you keep it, $59.99 is charged on day 7 and then once a year until you cancel. One free trial per Apple Account.
Questions families ask
What exactly is locked on Free?
Only new gated actions: adding a second student, opening a report, starting student mode, scanning pages or choosing photos of pages, the Apple Intelligence cleanup, and the 26th portfolio item. Nothing you already entered is ever locked, hidden, or deleted. A family whose subscription ends keeps reading, editing, exporting, and backing up everything.
Does one purchase cover both parents?
Yes. Family Sharing is on for every plan, so anyone in your Apple family group gets Pro on their own devices. Records sync between devices signed into the same Apple Account; live sharing between two different Apple Accounts is planned for a later version.
Can I switch plans?
Monthly and yearly switch in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Buying Lifetime while subscribed makes the subscription unnecessary; cancel it and Lifetime carries on.
How do refunds work?
Purchases go through Apple, and Apple handles refunds at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot see or issue them ourselves.
Are there discounts for co-ops or groups?
Offer codes for co-ops, conventions, and homeschool groups are planned for launch. Write to support and we will let you know when they are ready.
Restoring a purchase on a new device
Tap Restore purchases on any plan screen, or under Settings › Schoolhouse Pro. Purchases belong to your Apple Account, not to the device.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel in Settings › Apple Account › Subscriptions. Terms · Privacy policy
